I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
